who wouldn't want one of those Hockey jerseys

JerseyHere's the third to the left. Well the Montreal Canadiens once replaced their logo with that of a globe because they were the world Champions sometime in the 1920's I believe so hershey isn't the first team to dedicate a sweater to a championship. I really like the Stockton Thunder jersey. Those Gems black white Henrik Sedin Jersey cheap have a similar striping pattern to those of the defunct Quebec Rafales of the old IHL. I think that's pretty sharp. The other jerseys, not so much. Very reminiscent of our favorite Reebok Edge designs, what with the interrupted striping, curvy tails and the team name printed across the ass. I have to finish up by going back to the NHL. Like someone said before, the Hershey jerseys were a celebration thing, and they did indeed auction them off after the game. I don't disagree with the use of the jerseys, as the money does go to charity, but I do think that the Calder Cup stripping on the bottom was over the top. A little too showy, but these guys just won the cup, and they deserve the right to show it off. In Reaponce to the Bears. They are not the first to wear dave schultz jerseys. The NHL Turner Cup Champions Fort Wayne Komets wore Jerseys in the 2008-2009 season that had the Turner Cup on the Front of the Jerseys. Our Jerseys were Plain white with the barely any other coloring on it. Wish I could Find a photo. Know we are Back to back champions and looking for the 3-peat!I saved this one intentionally. I've seen teams wear patches to commemorate a championship victory. But I have never seen an entire sweater dedicated to blatantly bragging about it. Check out nhluniforms.com and you'll see that the Habs from 1924-25 and the Sens from 1921-22 both decided to brag about their Stanley Cup wins with their jerseys. This is the powder blue schedule. Is it me, or does it look like they're trying to use it against non-foes or out-of-conference matchups...last year, as a Ranger fan, i got to see them battle the powder blues. I don't see any Flyers/ Rangers / Devils games using the powders. Those number plates on the Stockton Thunder looks like the old Milwaukee Admirals number plates from the late 90's early 00's and the Mississippi Surge jerseys look like a complete rip off of the Minnesota Swarm Indoor Lacrosse jersey with a couple of the colors switched up. Not to take away from Hershey's accomplishments, but if I were an opposing team I would not want to lose to a team wearing those jerseys.

The yellow Gems jersey seems very reminiscent to the Winter Classic Kimmo Timonen Jersey with the trumpets. The Dayton Gems retro jersey is a classic and should have been the primary home jersey from day 1. The road jersey from that same era should be the primary road jersey as well. Pretty much an eyesore! For those that don't like the Hershey jerseys, they auctioned them off after the game, if that is any consolation. I am a huge Bears fan, but I do think they could have done something a little less "look at us" and a little more "this is symbolic of our history" like the Islanders with their stripes. My parents have season tickets, but they couldn't make the game last night, so my girlfriend and I went, and I was really hoping to see their new normal jerseys, only to find that they were wearing a white version of those Calder Cup jerseys. their first two home games, they wore those jerseys. Home opener dark, second home game. If i played against the Bears or the gems i'd make sute To take a coule of extra strides before nailing one of them in the boards. Just to remind them that wr're playing hockey, not parading on some crazy fashion conceptor's catwalk. the rochester jersey is a nice nod to the past. but hideous all the same. the stockton jeseys are original and unique. i personally have no problem with the colby armstrong leafs jersey cause its the sphl, come on those jerseys are nice compared to some. there are not enough words to describe how ugly daytons jerseys are. the only one that has some dececency is the retro. i like the new bridge port jerseys. i did like how they used to where orange instead of white but the islander retros look good. To the best of my knowledge, the Gems retro jerseys are not part of the team wardrobe. Those are just replicas that you can buy from the sportsretro.com website. I went to a Gems open house a few weeks back and they only mentioned and showed off the home, away, and 3rd jersey. I also happened to be wear a retro replica to the event and had one staff member ask me about the jersey before he proceeded to show me pics of the 3 jerseys they will be wearing this year. i have nothing to say about the Blue Jays jersey shop. except for what a mistake they are. finally chris you missed the new Texas Stars uniforms. Chris, I'm not sure why you hate the new Islander jerseys so much. I think they look great. I hate the vintage ones because the bottoms stripes are so bold and ugly but that is personal preference. Yes the Bears are a great team obviously by winning the championship every team in the league already knows that. There also one of the oldest. Now if a team formes in the 80's won 10 championships that would be impressive. But winning a championship in a league where most teams are moving from city to city when your one of the original teams is not impressive at all.

Hershey's logo and all those cups are horrible but at least the jerseys are nice. I love the Amerks brought back the stars and strips jersey. I bought one when they started wearing them in the 90s. Too bad I won't root for the team anymore after the breakup with the Sabres and the former owner is a doucebag and the new owner seems like on too. I like their colors. I grew up an Amerks fan, but as my favorite players moved on and up to the Sabres, my fanaticism moved with them. With the previous affiliation, it was easy to be a fan of both, but I have been torn ever since they separated, leaning mostly toward the Sabres. Where am I going with this? I loved those Stars and Bars jerseys when they wore them previously. That's the one non-Sabres jersey that I've always wanted. The Wichita Thunder used the same jersey template back in 2006. I wish they would've stayed with those jerseys. Link for those jerseys are below. I actually agree with Dandy. I like the Islanders jerseys as they are. I absolutely hate the striping on it. Just because they're classic, doesn't mean they're good. The Thunder's jerseys are the only ones in this post that aren't hideous. Seriously, can teams not come up with anything better than that. so the chicago black ice jersey may be throwbacks, but that didn't help the Habs in the ugly department last year. Those Mississippi Surge jerseys remind me of the player customized team ea Storm from the NHL series. Anyone else notice on the new NHL Center Ice ads that the hem line is straight across? No more of the curved hem that makes the hockey jerseys look like jammies. Is this some foreshadowing of things to come? As previously stated, the Habs did the same thing early in their history. I believe the logo was changed to a globe. It will be the first of 12 scheduled appearances for the blue “third jersey,” which has its roots in Penguins history of the late 1960s. The Penguins switched their official colors to black and gold in 1980, and did not wear blue again until the 2008 Winter Classic. Last season, the Pens adopted the light blue design as their official alternate uniform. The Kingston Frontenacs of the OHL will be wearing a special Hockey Penguins Jersey cheap for their Military night Don Cherry will be in Attendance, I will send you a pic or two on Thursday as the game is Wednesday.

This should be their primary jersey

Loving the jersey minus the NHL logo stuck on the collar. The worst part about the Ducks' rebrand was that it was clear as day that their Andrew Ladd jets Jersey were designed with the webbed D foot as the crest, and some higher-ups had a different plan. It just looks thrown on and out of place. Colour and simplicity is what makes a great uniform. It's far better than having almost every team have black and/or navy in their look. And to this very day, I long for a return of the Minnesota North Stars green, white, and gold and the LA Kings purple and gold. I have to say though that that 30th anniversary is very sad looking. I was really hoping that they could come up with something better. love the idea, but as a flames fan, cant help but want to yell at whoever came up with the 30th anniversary logo design, it looks just stupid. as long as Bowmeester is holding Stanleys mug high in June, I can get over it. Loving all the retros, but the stripes at the bottom of the flames is too big.Calgay has one of the worst retros. Best one is Edmonton, then the Pens, Islanders, RedWiings and Blackhawks winter classics, Sabers and then the flames. I would like to see them go out of the box and put a white C on a black jersey. Huge fan of retro looks, whether the team is newer or older. I'm one who would be voting to make many teams with archives of vintage looks to make them their full time look. Not to mention using colours other than just dark blue or black. Where have original looks gone? I don't want to have to look at the scoreboard on top of the screen to see who's playing. I want to be able to see it on the ice with the cheap MLB Jersey. They could come up with the greatest logo ever and it would still get lost in the ugliness that is the Ducks uniform. This team desperately needs some distinct colors; their own identity.

i think retros are thing of the past that that need to remain that way, save for a couple special occasions during the season. You know what, I'm sure this was all a very smart plan by the Samuelis. When they first took over the team, they changed the look to not only get away from the Disney era, but to represent all of Orange County, which I really like. as an oilers fan, i was extremely disappointed when they came out with the bright blue and orange nhl black ice jerseys from the 80's.The reason why people like myself love retro uniforms is because the retros represent a time when hockey was just a game before corporate politics came into play and they simply look great on the ice. wore those and it should stay that way. i was hoping the oil would have come up with another genius third as they did in 01. i currently have no problem with the oilers current reebok Vancouver Canucks Jerseys as i own the navy home one myself. i think the reebok design is a sleek and modern look. and calgarys retros are atrocious, Question to ask you: Do you like the beauty and simplicity of the Original Six? Boston's black and gold? The Rangers blue, red, and white? Well, the retro uniforms of teams like Calgary and Edmonton have that very same simplicity. they look like uniforms at a fast food restaurant new change is good for sports so why do people consistently believe these eye cancerous retros are the way to go? From the day they introduced that wordmark trying to pass itself off as a logo three years ago, many of us have been annoyed. Looking back, I do understand the purpose. They were changing the name and marketing had a big role to play. They needed to let everyone know that the team was "Mighty" no more. But we know what he meant. Still, as I said, it's encouraging to see these small but significant changes coming about. The next big change, which needs to happen sooner rather than later, is to have the webbed "D" get the star treatment on the front of those boston bruins team jersey cheap.

The next year, they went to the Rbk-Edge uniform, and everybody wanted to buy those uniforms. Now, this is their fourth season since the name/uniform change, and there are all these rumors that they'll adopt a third jersey this year, one that should be miles better than their current jersey of three years. Yeah i dont understand the red line design but thats whatever, who cares haha. It's about time they update the center ice logo. It looks so much better front-and-center than the wordmark, and if this is at all possible, makes a duck actually look somewhat fearsome. I love the D logo and im pumped its finally being put at center ice. You have no idea how annoying it was seeing the script on ice. Anyways, can we please see them completely overhaul their Pittsburgh Steelers Jersey for sale and logo? There is nothing even remotely appealing about the look of the team. A wordmark as a logo, workmark front and center on both jerseys, and plain black and white jerseys. There might be a splash of colour in there, but it's not nearly enough to even matter. Even my mom was like, what does that say!?!!..hopefully the next step is the jersey! I think it's nice they finally realized the Ducks word mark wasn't really a logo and are now going with the webbed D as a formal logo. With that being said, it's lame. As I said over on PuckDrawn, I think going with a D in the middle of the jersey is a poor idea. The Webbed foot is painfully simple and is going to get lost on their jerseys. The upper part of the Patriots Jersey cheap are basically solid black and its going to wash out the D. It's so easy to use that as the logo and I'm so frustrated with the Ducks organization for half-assing this logo. I'm a huge fan and the team, from the top down is well run, well organized and since being sold to the Samueli's, have been poised to be post-season contenders.

This is making me mull over which jersey to buy

Though weird, the black pants and helmet can be explained. I like the color on Colorado's third, but I would prefer a logo rather than just the name written diagonally or across it or in any way, shape or form. When they were moving, they didn't have time to have custom pants and such made up, as both of their colors would have required a custom order, so they had to go with a stock color. Those are Black, navy, Bright Red, and royal. All except black would have been a complete mismatch and look pretty awful, except the royal which would have been close, but not quite right. Same with the black helmets and gloves. In fact, for some games at the start they wore the black helmets with the home whites as well as the aways, until the NHL decided it was too confusing for the refs and had them buy a set of white helmets. And I guess it looked good enough, black will go with most anything, so they kept it. Probably a good thing too, as changing cheep buffalo sabres manufacturers has changed the color at least once. As I write this, Minnesota revealed their 3rd and other than the beautiful green color, the jersey sucks in my book. By the way, if you are still working on a concept and would like to share it with Icethetics readers, please send it along. I'll be posting all of the entries on the Concepts page following the Ice Bulls' official unveiling tomorrow. what's wich making the current top sidebar item white on white? When you move your cursor over it, it's dark orange on light orange, which makes much more sense even out of context. I think the Blue Jackets have a great look with what they have. The logo represents the state of Ohio. That being said, I've tried an Avs jersey on NHL 09 Create-a-team with the blue color, and it just looked awkward because we know them as having always worn burgundy since moving from Quebec. But the Nordiques made this color look brilliant on a jersey without a lot of striping and design, and I'm really hoping that's the basis behind this, if it is true. While I liked the original burgundy third, the blue just looks weird. I like the premise, but as that rendering goes, I'm not a fan. Make the 5-stripes into 3 stripes, and add a singular bottom stripe or the mountain again, and it's cool, but as it stands now, no bueno. A cannon-based third jersey would be a good idea though. The Columbus Blue Jackets have an awesome name, drawing from the Civil War, a nice-looking Andrew Ladd jets Jersey and good colors. Yet they have never been able to get a crest right. That should be the first in the concept series is probably ideal.

That is a pretty bad looking jersey,Thanks for the linkage to the Washington Nationals Jersey cheap world. I'm not a fan of the concept due to the resemblance to the Rangers, and like another poster mentioned, it would be great. Of course, we all have to see the real thing first, but I always thought that the Avs should have a blue third. Lighter shade of blue is a very under-used and underrated color in NHL. As an Avs fan, I am probably one of those in the minority who thought that the old all-burgundy third jersey was hideous. I associate the Avalanche with the burgundy color before I do the blue. Then why didn't you turn comments off when doinjg other tournaments like best NHL logo because that definitely swayed voters. I mean I thought it was great when it was burgundy. The Rangers aren't 'afraid' to put any logo on their sweater. Take a look into history a bit. Rangers original 6 teams. End of story. You don't mess with 100 yr. old tradition for the sake of looking cooler. The NHL is all about retro now, so maybe some sort of design paying tribute to Quebec, or even a blue jersey with the foot. I just really think that 3dCheap Brewers Jersey should get some type of approval, I was under the impression the whole reason to get new jerseys was 9a. to clean up the league. If that was the case than Atlanta would of been told to do a whole new jersey. thats stupid why would the leafs wear bugundy, its ot in their colour scheme, but for the avs blue is in the clour scheme and its also the alternate colour so why not use it on the alternate jersey. i like the blue and all but i think they should have gone with the bigfoot logo on the from instead of the plain colorado lettering, Plus, the NHL is going stronger than ever. More and more votes keep coming in on the logo polls and I hope to begin accepting uniform concepts very soon. Designers will be required to work within a specific template as far as submissions but will be completely free to design their jerseys however they'd like. i wasn't a huge fan of the first third jersey however this is a step up, but i have thought the bigfoot would look good on a third since before the original third jersey even came out. And of course, don't forget about Twitter. If you don't have an account, it's no problem. Just keep an eye on the updates in the sidebar right here on the blog. I update it several times a day even when there's nothing new on the blog. When they had their last third jersey, I questioned why it was burgundy. I don't understand teams wearing two jerseys of the same color, since the reason of having an tanner glass jets jersey is to try something different with the look of your team. They can't do that if it's the same color.

I've done some research and asked around among my usual sources and, basically, I can't confirm or deny it. I think the Quebec connection is a bit of a stretch, but he may be right in assuming that, if true, these would probably be nice-looking sweaters. Pretty sure this is it. Chris Creamer has said the jersey will be "light blue with burgundy shoulders and a NYR script" on the sportslogos boards. The diagonal word is a nice reflection of the team's nickname. Imagine if they just used NHL. The blue is better than the burgundy one, as it is a more 'wearable' colour. Would prefer to see a more square shoulder yoke though. Overall very nice and a great departure worthy of being an alternate cheap black bruins jerseys #63.The burgundy ones sure were sharp. That being said, my gut reaction, based on over two years of tracking this type of news, tells me something is fishy. But when isn't it, right? Anyway, it all remains to be seen but I thought I'd at least mention it here because of the coverage its getting. Share your thoughts below on this latest rumor. If in fact this concept does make its way into true form, in no way can I see RBK no the Avalanche going with the four tri-color striped arm bands. If so, why throw black into the equation? it is atrocious, sticking with the Rbk guidelines. I'm all for a nod to the 'diques, but with a black helmet/pants combo on a jersey like that? Stevie Wonder coulda put something better together. I don't understand using the locator on the jerseys that are meant to be worn at home. At least the Rangers have their nickname on their home uniform. It's like how in baseball, most teams wear the nickname at home, but the road jerseys have the city. I know baseball and hockey are different, but it doesn't make sense to me in hockey. You're gonna wear the nhl hockey jerseys cheap at home games, mostly. They already know you're in Colorado. I think I said the same thing about the Stars wearing "Dallas" on their home uniforms. The Nordiques never had black instilled with their uniforms, and other than outlining names, neither have the Avs. If it smells fishy, then it stinks. I'm thinking that an alternate like this is really what's going to happen, and this is just a bad mock-up of the one he's seen. Like the supposed black stripe may actually be dark blue, or something like that and other bits are actually a bit different, so it may actually look a lot better in reality.
